Introduction:

In English 11, you will continue to develop skills learned in English 10 by improving your thinking, reading, writing, listening, and representing. It is highly recommended that you take English 11 before attempting English 12.

Recommended prerequisites:

It is highly recommended that you take English 10 before attempting English 11.

Resources:

Most of the readings are online. You may want to get a copy of the novel, Lord of the Plies, by William Golding from a library, but it is available in the course in pdf format.

Assessment:

  • Assignments: 80%
  • Tests and Quizzes: 20%

You must come in to Riverside Centre to write your final test.

Student Responsibilities

Students are expected to log onto the course and to submit one assignment (or have contact with their instructor) each week.

Students who do not log onto the course or keep in contact with their instructor on a weekly basis will be viewed as having withdrawn from their online course and will be notified by their instructor that they are being withdrawn from the course. Students who withdraw from an online course are not allowed by Ministry of Education regulations to retake the same online course for two reporting periods.
