Social Studies 11 is a course designed to examine the Canadian experience from the start of WW1 (1914) to the new millennium. This course will also address and empathize on modern canadian government, the challenges of world population/urbanization and the environment.

Recommended prerequisites:

Social Studies 10


The required textbook for this course is Counterpoints / Exploring Canadian Issues (1st Edition)


Substantive Assignment = 5%
Assignments = 50%
Tests = 35%
Final Exam = 10%

Students who do not log onto the course, or keep in contact with their instructor on a weekly basis, will be viewed as having withdrawn from this online course. If you are active and withdraw from an online course, the Ministry of Education regulations will prohibit you from retaking this online course for two reporting periods.
